Whatever It Takes

Our Story Event

An Enduring Legacy

God has expressed His love and left a mark on the Front Range through Rez. John and Linda Stocker came to Loveland in 1978 to pastor Loveland Assembly of God. They gladly embraced the move of God of that era as well as the people no other churches welcomed. The “warehouse” days were marked by powerful encounters with God and an expectation that those who attended would experience Jesus in a real and personal way. By 1990, Rez purchased 80 acres of farmland in an area that was known as the eastern outskirts of Loveland. On this land Rez built the facilities we enjoy to this day.
Throughout the years, Rez established an enduring legacy as a people who passionately worship God, who seek to know and to walk in the truth of God’s Word, who love and bless Israel, and who believe God’s spiritual gifts are still available to believers today. Rez has given significantly to missions all over the world… over $20 million since 2000.
Rez is a multi-generational family church where three or more generations of the same family come to church together. We recognize the great heritage of blessings and strength that flow from family.
These past three decades have uniquely prepared Rez for a new season. In 2010, Pastor Jonathan and Amy Wiggins became Senior Pastors of Rez.Church. Under their leadership, the Rez family is being led to embrace afresh the ministry of Jesus Christ as we move in compassion and rise up in our calling to go and make disciples.

A Unique Opportunity

Rez was once the church out in the wheat field apart from the community. Today these 80 acres are the epicenter of growth in Northern Colorado.

Consider this:

  • Larimer and Weld county are on pace to double population in the next 25 years*
  • Windsor officials expect the population of Windsor to double in the next 10 years, and then double again in the 10 years to follow
  • Loveland’s Centerra District has become the growth center of Northern Colorado
  • 4,000 new homes are projected in east Loveland in the next 10 years**
  • Denver and the Front Range are considered some of the least “Bible-minded” and most “Post-Christian” areas in the United States.***

This information represents a call to action!

It is a call to prepare for a coming harvest on a potentially massive scale.

In the parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins, only the wise ones prepared in advance for this visitation. The rest missed the opportunity of a lifetime!

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘ No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.” Matthew 25:1-10

God is bringing the multitudes to our doorstep!

All Phases

On March 29th, 2015 the Rez.Church family came together in one service for a historic moment to do Whatever it Takes to reach the Front Range with the love of Jesus Christ. This service culminated with nearly 600 families and individuals committing 7.5 million dollars to be given over three years. This same group then gave the largest offering in the history of Rez.Church, giving more than 1 million dollars toward their commitment. This weekend created the momentum for Rez to move through phase 3 of our facility preparation plan. We have continued to see new commitments since this time as individuals catch the vision and passion of Whatever it Takes.

The Results

“…wisdom is proved right by all its results” Luke 7:35

We believe that in the combination of spiritual restoration (Spirit-filled, soul winning ministry focus) and physical restoration (renewal and expansion of our facility) we will see:

Sq. ft. remodeled50,000
added Sq. ft.33,250

1000children grow in faith as they encounter the truth of God’s word in culturally relevant ways
500teenagers realize their identity in Christ, and passionately pursue God’s plan for their lives

5000men and women coming to faith one life after another, after another while attending weekend services
1200new families begin to drink from the cups of salvation, freedom, redemption, and fulfillment
  • Our capacity to reach families (children, youth, adults) double, from 2,500+ to 5,000+ each weekend.
  • Our weekend attendance grow to 3,000+ by 2016 and 5,000+ by 2020

What can I do?

A Call to Prepare

  • Prepare the hearts: This is what the spirit-filled, soul winning ministry focus is all about.
  • Prepare the house: We must prepare our facility to reach the men, women, and families coming to the Front Range.

“I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought” 1 Corinithians 1:10

Determining Your Commitment

“Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage–to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous” 1 Timothy 6:17-18

The only thing on this earth that can last forever is people. In all of God’s creation, people are all that really matter to Him, and He asks that they would really matter to us. We are merely managers of the material riches God has given to us, and He desires that we would wisely use what He has given. What would you do to effect someone’s eternity? Let that principle motivate your commitment to Whatever it Takes.

With your head and your heart, we ask that you prayerfully consider joining the Rez family that has already made commitments to do Whatever it Takes. With an open heart for His spirit to guide you, prayerfully ask God to speak to you an amount of money that you can commit to give by or through March 2018.

“Whatever it Takes” commitments should be above your tithes.

Giving Strategies

  • Gifts in Kind/Appreciable Assets:

Transferring ownership of stocks, bonds, real estate, automobiles, etc., provides ample giving opportunities. Tax codes are generous toward this form of giving. Giving the asset to the church, then allowing the church to sell eliminates potential capital gains taxes and can increase the after-tax proceeds, providing significant tax savings.

  • Income-Producing Assets:

Interest income, payments from rental properties, or monies from other income-producing assets provide sources of increased giving.

  • Sale of Assets:

Sales of major assets such as a house, car, land, or business provide sources of increased giving.

  • Corporate Gifts:

Donate the products or services of your business. For example, if you are in construction, donate materials or labor.

  • Oil & Gas Royalties:

Royalties resulting from the expansion in the oil & gas industry provide unique possibilities for giving.

  • Income Raises/Bonuses/Tax Refunds:

Donating raises, bonuses, and tax refunds are also avenues to increased giving.

  • Freedom from Debt:

As debt obligations are fulfilled, additional revenue may become available for increased giving.

  • Unique Skills Income/Special Sales:

You may have marketable hobbies or skills, which enable you to give from those profits. Or, maybe you can hold a garage or auction sale and donate the proceeds to the Whatever it Takes Campaign.

  • Charitable Giving Resources:

Re-evaluate your charitable contributions. Perhaps some money you already set aside for charitable giving can be temporarily diverted to the Whatever it Takes Campaign.

  • Give Up Some Luxuries:

Lifestyle adjustments can help make extra money available to give to the Whatever it Takes Campaign. Consider canceling magazine subscriptions and frequent trips for coffee, or scaling back on entertainment and meals out.

  • Delayed Expenditures:

Perhaps some major purchases can be temporarily postponed and money diverted to the Whatever it Takes Campaign. The acquisition of major items such as automobiles, clothing, or trips, when postponed, allows for substantial giving opportunities.

Note: Rez.Church has set up a single charity donor fund that allows for unique and diverse giving options. For more information on this fund, please contact Pastor David Melson.

What does each phase cost?
Phase 1: Theater 1: 1.1 million
Phase 2: Theater 2: 2.2 million
Phase 3: Office Wing & New Foyer: 9.5 million
Phase 4: Main Worship renovation & Children’s Wing: 6.5 million
What is the construction timeline?
Phase 1 completed. Phase 2 completed.
Phase 3 has a completion target of September 2016.
Phase 4 has not been scheduled yet.
Why have we chosen this building phase order?
Many factors go into this order of phasing including our ministry focus on children and creating community, as well as the factors of school, church, and seasonal calendar of events which drive facility use.
How much growth will this allow at Rez?
The completion of all four phases will allow us to nearly double weekend service attendance across all age groups.
What is expected of me?
Most importantly, seek God. Take time to prayerfully consider what kind of sacrifice God is asking you to make. “Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice” best describes Rez.Church’s understanding of Biblical stewardship. Not everyone can make a million dollar gift, but everyone can make a sacrificial one.
What is a faith commitment?
We believe that each person should give what God has told him or her to give. A faith commitment is simply your declaration of what God has spoken to you, and in faith will give by or through March 2018 towards the “Whatever It Takes” initiative.
How do I make my Faith Commitment?
Faith commitments can be made by selecting the “Commit & Give” button at the end of this page. You can give during weekend services by using a giving envelope and marking the “Whatever it Takes” line. You can give anytime using the pushpay app by texting “Rez” to 77977 and following the instructions. Last, you can contact Pastor David Melson at the Rez office: 970-667-5479.
Should I redirect my tithe to the Whatever it Takes campaign?
No. Your giving commitment to the campaign should be above and beyond your tithe.
Is my commitment confidential? Can it be changed if necessary?
All giving to Rez.Church is completely confidential including giving to the Whatever it Takes campaign. Commitments can be changed because individual circumstances can change. Your decision to change your faith commitment should be done only after much prayer and consideration.
Will I be billed monthly for my faith committment?
No. We will be counting on you to meet your commitments in a timely manner. Your gifts may be given via the mail, the weekly offering or by automatic withdrawal, but please be sure to designate your checks by writing “Whatever it Takes” on the memo line.

We provide this donor profile chart to help to all of us who call Rez home know “what it will take” to reach our goals. This profile chart imagines a ten million dollar goal.
